Airtel Places Second In Nigeria, Behind MTN, Ahead Of Glo

New Statistics from Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has shown  that Airtel has taken over the second position of the largest telecommunications services provider in terms of customers in the Nation.


Airtel have gone ahead of Glo and has now recorded total customer number of 26, 194, 336.00 to Glo’s 24, 490, 650.00 while MTN leads the pack with an amazing 57, 183, 745.00 and Etisalat at 18,119,397.00.
Airtel Africa CEO, Christian de Faria said:“This is a remarkable feat for Airtel, demonstrating that our investments, aimed at ensuring a superior experience for our customers in Nigeria, are bearing fruit. It is also a clear indication of the trust that a growing sector of the population have started to have in us.” He added: “This achievement has not come easy and I must congratulate the Airtel team in Nigeria. Nigeria continues to be a very competitive telecoms market and our intention is to ensure that we continue to innovate and make life easier for our customers.”
Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director Airtel Nigeria Segun Ogunsanya, said: “The recent report from the NCC is a glowing testimony to our collective commitment of delivering value to our customers and also becoming the most loved brand in the daily lives of Nigerians in line with our corporate vision. Airtel was launched in Nigeria in 2010 and they have invested about $1.7bn dollars to expand and improve the nations service quality.

I think they are moving up, bcus they are the only sensible network to allow people use their bis on Android devices.

Note dat bis is no longer working on non bb fones on airtel again...glo bis now rocks on android. I rate mtn high bcos of dia cheap call rates to al networks nd glo bounce in terms of megabites nd etisalat in terms of magic number
