Clarksy I dnt use any settings in firefox. If you are using vpn then set mozilla to "No proxy"
problem solved. i set firefox to auto detect proxy and now working fine.

I have entered the settings for etisalat exactly as you posted them above but still I cannot connect. I keep getting the following error message:
Error5: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
No SSL Connection using given port .
Only TG Port-6053 will not work

and connect the modem before TG u will get that error message click ok ok ok on all finnally you will get a successful message, if you get a message from etisalat when you connect that "dear customer, you have entered the suspension period"....it will now work, just rechrge 100 naira in the sim and connect it will work but they will not deduct the credit and after that you are good to go.

allow for some time and you will get connected......

Anonymous i wil just be quick and simple..like vpn u dont have to set any of ur applications or browsers to any port or ip to make them wrk or browse. Thats what proxifier can stand as for a https connection, all you need do is set ur proxifier to 127.0.0.1 port 6055 and use it with ur http connection. If you still dont understand let me knw.
@chris please am having problem with my vpn . it stop browsing and bring out Err- Cannot run program 'connplay.exe' creareprocess error=2. the sysytem cannot find the file specified.
